Our Mission Statement
The Beaver County Business Connection (BCBC), is
a dedicated group of Business Professionals whose Goal is to Support
our Members by furnishing them with Appropriate Business Referrals.
How we accomplish that mission
The Beaver County Business Connection was formed in
1991 as a means for county businesses to network and grow through
appropriate referrals from each other.
We are and and have always been the
only non-profit group in Beaver County. The group does not
profit from dues or by any other means. All dues and
assessments paid to the group are used to cover operating expenses.
Currently the only regular dues are: $100 Annual Dues and $72
Quarterly Breakfast Dues used to pay for each members weekly
breakfast.
Each member represents a unique
business category and no competitors of that member are allowed to
join. All new members attend two meetings before being asked
to apply to the group to allow them to evaluate us and for members
to get to know them to ensure there are no competitive interests. Before
voting on a prospective member our inspector visits their business
to verify the legitimacy of the business. The inspector then
makes a recommendation to the full membership of the group.
The group must then vote unanimously to admit the new member.
Our weekly meetings
Every Tuesday morning we meet at Kings restaurant
from 7:30 to 8:30. We eat breakfast then tend to any new and
old business of the group while business cards from each member are
passed around the table.
Next one member of the group gives a
short informational presentation about their business to enable the
other members to better market the speakers business and gain
appropriate referrals for that member. The speaker list is
rotated weekly so that every member gets a chance to speak.
There are no outside speakers at the meetings.
Finally the golden bucket is passed
around the table and referrals are exchanged. As each member
gets the bucket they put copies of their referrals in the bucket and
introduce themselves and their business to the group.
